Construction is underway on The Beach Shack, The Reserve Club’s private beach club at Playa Palmilla, a certified Blue Flag beach known for its year-round swimmable waters. Members and their guests will have casual open-air dining, an outdoor lounge area with a fire pit, and a full water sports center.

One of the few protected coves on this stretch of Baja coast, Playa Palmilla is where Los Cabos luxury began, home to One&Only Palmilla and Club Ninety Six, which have defined this coveted corner of the coast for decades. The Beach Shack gives Reserve Club members a beach club of their own at the edge of the same sand.

Tropical resort space with curved architecture, palm trees, surfboards, lounge seating, and lush landscaping.

Designed by Taller ADG, the Mexico City firm behind Palmilla Reserve’s Mountain Residences, The Beach Shack is a single curving concrete plane that lifts off the sand on columns and follows the contour of the dune. At sand level, arched openings lead to the Water Sports Center, stocked with paddleboards, surfboards, kayaks, and snorkel gear with direct access to the beach, along with private locker rooms and showers to freshen up.

Open-air dining, a members’ lounge, and Bar Aduana occupy the upper level beneath a palapa roof, with a sunken lounge and fire pit at the seaward edge. Decks on both levels face the Sea of Cortez, with views of the water framed through the palms.

Open-air restaurant and bar beneath a thatched roof, featuring curved counters, natural wood seating, tropical greenery, and ocean views.

The Beach Shack’s kitchen is led by Executive Chef Ana Martorell, whose Mexico City restaurants include Aida, OXA Cocina Única, and Olivo Tinto. Cocktails are served at Bar Aduana, named for the original customs house of Los Cabos that once stood on this coast. Members also have a grill and sports bar, along with concierge and valet service.

The Beach Shack will join El Once, The Clubhouse, Arroyo Park, and The Commons as part of the growing collection of The Reserve Club at Palmilla Reserve.
